"This spring bridal show is the largest and most complete consumer bridal event in this region for brides to be who are newly engaged after Valentine's Day," says Floyd Nobis, President of the West Michigan Wedding Association, which hosts the event.
The bridal show will host over 75 exhibits, giving attendees an opportunity to talk face-to-face with businesses supplying goods or services to the future bride.
"We are pleased to offer an elegant setting for several runway fashion shows, says Mani Dieppa, treasurer of the West Michigan Wedding Association." Mani continues, "We are trying a different style of fashion show at our spring event. It is going to be more elegant than any bridal runway show done in the past. It will be done how fashion shows are supposed to be, "New York Style." The fashion show will be produced by Bridal Lane, based out of Dorr, and Fantastic Finds, based out of Lansing. Runway fashion shows will run Friday at 6 pm; Saturday at 2pm and 6pm and strolling fashion shows throughout the three-day event. High end fashions featuring Casa Blanca, Bari Joy, Mori Lee, Jordan, Impressions, Essense of Australia, Justin Alexander and others will be presented.

Skin & Glamour Tips for the Bride
Brought to you by Linda Seil- Mary Kay
On the evening before the wedding, relax in a pampering bubble bath of scented gel, then apply body lotion in the same scent while skin is still damp.
You may also want to apply a sunless tanning lotion to add color, but be sure to start this process at least 2 weeks before the wedding day. You can also use a tinted moisturizer, which can also give you an added glow to your look.
Following are some suggestions for tear-proof and kiss proof results on your wedding day:
Concealer: Apply a little full coverage concealer under the eyes and on any imperfections after foundation.
Lips: Go more intense on the lips (one facial feature should stand out) because the photography can lose the color. Apply lip liner along the natural lip line, and use the pencil to fill in the lips, providing a long-wearing base coat of color. For pouty seductive lips- use a dot of lip gloss in the middle of your lips will make them look fuller.
Glamour makeup: The key to wedding day glamour makeup is for it to enhance without looking heavy or overdone.
Blusher: You will need a little more blusher than normal for the photography. Blend with a professional brush.
Eyes: Soft, smoky eye colors will make the eyes stand out without overshadowing the whole look.
Eye liner: If you choose to line with a pencil, the line should not be heavy -- it needs to be soft and 'smudged'.
Mascara: Always apply two coats of mascara -- waterproof, of course, letting the first coat dry thoroughly before applying the second coat. Also, use a 'minking' technique, where you apply brown mascara close to the lashline, and tip with black mascara. Use a waterproof mascara for the sentimental times during the day or evening.
Skin Care: Use an oil mattifier to cut down on oil shine and keep matte powder on hand to eliminate a shiny face. For a break out or two use a q-tip with a drop of Visine on the red spots only to eliminate it temporarily (tip from Robert Jones-cosmotologist).

About the West Michigan Wedding Association (WMWA)
Celebrating its fourth full year, the association was formed just four years ago to offer a networking opportunity for those involved in the bridal industry. The mission of the WMWA is to do three large bridal show events per year; one in the Spring, Fall and a "NEW" winter show will be added in 2009. The West Michigan Wedding Association shows give all those in the bridal industry an opportunity to participate in large bridal shows. There is no exclusivity in a WMWA hosted event. Also the WMWA mission is to network and make their event a fundraiser for charity. Currently there are more than 140 association members. The bridal shows hosted by the WMWA are complete bridal shows, not making any bridal shop or tux shop or any other company exclusive, thereby making it a complete show in accordance with standards of the national consumer show industry. Additional information is available at www.WestMichiganWeddingAssociation.org. or www.kohlerexpo.com.
Sincerely,
Megan Zonavetch
